I can finally summarize Adelphi orientation. Besides the fact that we had like the hottest 3 days of the summer, it was awesome! I had so much fun. It could’ve been better as far as the heat & some of the people I was forced to be with for 3 days, but I actually wish I could go to the 2nd orientation just to do it all over again & meet more people. The highlights were: definitely the sex signals presentation that made sexual assault a little more comedic so we’d understand & pay attention but be serious, the illusionist/comedian who was our entertainment & was in Jackass 2 [he was the dude who threw playing cards into wee man’s ass & shocked him on the stool], & the talent show. I made quite a few new friends, except they were mostly girls.. since the ratio of girls to guys at AU is like.. 50:1. fml. I also was feeling extremely self-conscious throughout orientation because of how many other girls there were & because of how hot & sweaty/gross I was getting/feeling. I feel as if I will not be finding my husband at this school. Anyway, I made my schedule as well. I’m taking psychology, 2 of those mandatory freshman seminar thingys [the one we actually get to choose, I chose close relationships since I couldn’t take songs & songwriting. yay bowling practice], GERMAN! & intro to business. No science, math or english [for now..] WOO! I also will most likely get to take a photography class next semester since they were all filled for the 1st one. I’m an athlete so I get first dibs next semester. I was blown away at how much there is to do at AU. If you go there & complain its boring, you have a problem. I need to take advantage of all opportunities when I get there & make the best of it since I’m paying a shitload.
